• Approve the child's account creation

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide our educational service:

Account Information

• Parent or guardian email address (used for consent and account management)

Learning Activity Data

• Lessons completed, exercises attempted, and scores achieved
• Time spent on each learning module
• Progress milestones and achievement badges earned

Device and Technical Data

• Device type and operating system version (iOS or Android)
• App version
• Crash logs and error reports (collected anonymously)
• General geographic region (country-level only, derived from app store or language settings)

We do not collect:

• Full name, home address, phone number, or precise location data
• Photos, videos, or audio recordings
• Social media profiles or contact lists
• Payment details (purchases are processed by the app store; we do not receive card data)

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information solely to:

• Create and manage the child's learning account
• Deliver personalized educational content and track progress
• Send parents or guardians important service updates and progress reports
• Diagnose technical issues and improve app stability
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use children's data for behavioral advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose unrelated to education.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted third-party providers who assist in operating the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics) under strict data processing agreements that prohibit them from using data for any other purpose.
• Legal Requirements: When required to comply with applicable law, regulation, court order, or governmental request.
• Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of EcoleUP, our users, or the public.

Any third-party service providers we use for features within the children's experience comply with COPPA and are prohibited from collecting children's data for their own purposes.

6. Advertising

EcoleUP does not display targeted or behavioral advertisements to children. If any contextual or non-personalized advertising is shown to adult account holders, it is clearly separated from the child experience and based only on non-personal, contextual signals.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as the account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When an account is deleted:

• Personal identifiers are deleted within 30 days
• Anonymized, aggregated learning statistics may be retained for product improvement
• Backup copies are purged within 90 days

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption of data in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher
• Encryption of sensitive data at rest
• Access controls limiting who can view personal data
• Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments

No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting children's personal data, we will notify affected parents or guardians and relevant authorities as required by law.

As a parent or legal guardian, you have the right to:

• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your child's account and all associated personal data
• Withdraw Consent: Revoke your consent at any time, which will result in account deactivation
